Hi, I think you can buy a ready made hanger...not sure where though...maybe Homebase or some where similar.....or how about making a wire 'hanger' that slots over the top of the door

i bought one of those and they are too big to fit over the door its very tight! so had to put it indoors. just cant think of anything to hold it and it seems a waste!!
Is the wreath hanger you bought the flat metal type? I have a pvc door and it works on mine.

The only other thing I can think of...and it's hardly ideal...is to screw one of those little curtain hook thingys that you put curtain wire up with into the top of the door, they only leave a tiny hole which, if you put it right at the top will be virtually unnoticable when you remove the hook. Attach the wreath to some of that invisible nylon thread and hang it from the hook. That way all you have to do each year is put the hook back in the same hole.

Like I say, hardly ideal, but it's the only solution I can come up with off the top of my head.

Does the door have a door knocker? I have upvc door too and I tie the wreath to the door knocker.
How about just one of those plastic hooks with a sticky pad on the back that you can attach to anything? I have one on the back of my bedroom door which I use for a coat. Ifi t's not one of the really cheap ones it should be strong enough? Then it'll just come off again afterwards without having to make any holes etc
3m company make a plastic hook with sticky pad that holds upto 5lbs in weight they say its ideal for hanging a christmas wreath, I think you can get them from good stationery shops and its easily removed leaves no sticky residue
I thought about one of those sticky back plastic hooks but generally those sticky pads are a nightmare to remove.

Great solution Lalique. I reckon your suggestion is the best one. I didn't even know those 3M hooks existed. Very handy, I shall look out for them!
I just bought a plastic hook that is supose to hold up to 5lbs at the hardwear store ,, so far so good its holding the wreath!!
it only cost 99p as well.
i put piece of strong white cotton around the wreath, then feed it over the top edge of the door then stick a drawing pin on the top edge of the door....
Ribbon over the top of the door secured the otherside by using elephant tape no mess no holes nice and easy
Hi try going to Adsa, I boought a pack of 6 plastic suction hooks and my wreath has stayed in place beautifully! Merry Xmas!!!!
You use a wreath hanger like the ones found here.
