I'm working on it. Watch out for Xmas 2007. Then I can retire and live on the royalties!
i blame x factor / pop idol for the lack of fun that surrounds the xmas number one.
yep x factor win every every tear so whats the point in anyone bringing out anything good. I remember I had a bet on JCB song last year, never gonna win if it wasnt x factor pap
Who do you think would be worthy of making a Christmas No.1 choosing the latest artists?

lunatic i think groups like the frattelis, mcfly ,robbie.take that could have come straight back with one, any one who's music is bubbly and up beat. what about you?
Proper Christmas Number Ones are like buses; there are either none (as in most recent years), or they come along in threes and fours, as in the early 1970s.

There was also a glut of Christmas records in the 1950s, as I remember from my childhood.

Now that most records are sold as "downloads", the concept of a "number one" (at any time of the year) is fast fading.
21 St Century Christmas is a great song however Xfactor always gets the christmas spot nowdays. The people buying singles in the Slade era had better taste in music.
