presents and food, I cant believe the amount of food people buy for christmas!
Nothing. I've not found anything more expensive than last year - but then again, I do shop in the January sales for the following year - I've got cards a tablecloth and napkins, a table and tree decorations, wrapping paper and some crackers all at less than half price. I've shopped on Amazon and ebuyer and Play dot com, and got some good bargains. Booze got some good wine bargains from M&S and Morrisons, and Litres of top named Spirits at £17 and some cases of beer/cider/lager from Morrisons when they've been on offer since September. My parents who come to us every year provide the goose, which they get from their neighbour.
Nothing, but I don't over spend. Christmas dinner is a just a Sunday roast with a few extras.
No I haven't. But then I don't tend to go crazy at christmas anyway and spend about the same on presents most years. I have declined just about every work chistmas do invite but that's largely because I don't feel like spending time and money drinking and eating excessively with work people when the reality is that only about three or four of the people I work with are acutally friends rather than associates.
the drinks no one drinks.... if everyone did that the advocaat sellers would go broke
No I haven't cut down on anything and I don't intend to!
