I have just installed AVG antivirus 2011 free edition. I wanted to play one of my games but when I clicked on it it said that the files were corrupt and to uninstall and then reinstall it, the game is Big Kahuna Reef and I have had it on this computer for nearly two years with no problems, so I uninstalled it and a notice came up that some elements could not be removed and they could be removed manually, I don't know how to do this so can anyone tell me how to remove these elements, I don't know what elements they are. All help is gratefully received. Thanks, Kath.

Chances are you don't have to worry about it, it's probably your game saves, or just the empty folder it can't remove have you tried reinstalling it? it will probably work fine.

Also, every time I've see that error message there is a more details button that tells you exactly what can't be removed.

I have just reinstalled the game and a notice came up from AVG Identity Protection saying Malware detected and the option to quarantine which I do then I have to restart my computer but when it comes back on it says that malware removal completed, I click on the game icon but there are no files and it hasn't been installed. I have even tried downloading from Big Fish website but it does exactly the same. Don't know what to try next, I wish I'd never updated my AVG.

I have managed to reinstall the game, so now all is good till the next problem crops up. Kath.
AVG not good these days.
Microsoft Security Essentials would have been a better bet.
or Avast.
True ..
although that needs a lot of tweaking to keep it fast on the web. It scans everything as default .. so pages lag. Best to enter all the sites you use manually. Speeds it up quite a bit.
I have it 'on trial' on a mates machine.
