the walls are 2 hard 2 hammer nails through etc so any ideas what i could use to pin the wire to the corner of the room so it doesnt just hang down lookin an untidy mess?

You can buy a white plastic channel which has a self adhesive backing on it to run electrical cables in. They come in different sizes to suit the cables, it is called trunking and come in 8ft or 3m lenghths available in all electrical wholesale and DIY stores.
