It seems to good to be true but it might be the same as what hover did some years back.
When they gave a free holiday with every hover they did full fill there offer but it cost them millions and nearly closed the company.
Tied in to Orange - a dreadful ISP - for the sake of a very low spec laptop you wouldn't buy,

No thanks.

Well we went for it!! paid a bit more for a better spec machine we couldn't really find any holes in the deal, as for how good Orange is as an ISP we will have to wait and see. You can also take an option of 300 off any laptop in the store!!

We already have two good spec PCs and a laptop but was thinking of changing ISPs so this came along just in time.

Thank you for your answers.
I'm annoyed by this as i have been a Freeserve customer for several years who where then taken over by Orange.
I went wireless 6 weeks ago which meant entering into a new 1 year contract and now they are offering a free lap top, what about their long term customers?

Anyway i have found Orange to be great can't complain about anything about the service.

We are paying roughly 17 a month for 8 meg i believe, unlimited download and free calls UK and International. Can i ask what you are paying, what you get and how long is the contract?
Question Author
We are paying 19.99 a month for 8 meg, unlimited download and free calls UK and International, including router.

and looking at comparison web sites it looks like Orange are about midway compared to all the big ISPs.

and a 2 year contract, you can opt out after 12 months but would owe the balance on the Laptop.
How long is your contract?

I was with NTL before changing about 4 years ago they were terrible.

No problems at all with Orange until we changed to wireless but Orange were great got on to finding the problem straight away, called back with updates when they said they would and when it turned out it was a fault on our BT line they sorted BT out for us.
Thought it would be a longer contract still a good deal though
