I use a HP T45 printer at work and sometimes have problems getting it to recognise a new cartridge (uses the same as yours) when it has been installed. I have found the best bet ,especially if your using re-filled cartridges, is before inserting the cartridge clean the gold contact strip with contact cleaner and then give it a try. It may take a couple of goes but it usually works.
