Land elevation

Hi Ab'ers, does anyone know of a site that shows land elevations in UK cities, showing hills and valleys with height markers. Just to determine the highest point where I live, thanks.

For specific heights you might have to buy an OS map but for general profile click 'Terrain' on Google Earth and tilt your view.

As you move the cursor over the Google Earth screen you'll see 3 different sets of figures at the bottom of the screen......longtitude, latitude and height above sea level. Hope this helps.

should do it - the middle scale that reproduces the 1:50000 OS map would be the most helpful

Google Earth is a bit poor where I live (Carlisle) but it does give figures out, nice one, thanks both.
