Gravity waves

Does anyone on here actually believe in gravity waves because alot of money is wasted looking for them

I'm not sure I believe in the existence of them, no. But is it wasted if we find them? And how do you know if you don't look?

There are a lot of research activities that are like this. In fact, much of physics is based on looking for things that we only have theories about.
