I don't pretend to understand the 'tech' behind this but the fact that two photons have proven to be entangled over such a distance is mind blowing. The possibilities for communications and even the suggestion that teleportation may be possible is staggering.

Read about it on the BCC site earlier. Practical applications some time away though. But good that science marches on.
