I was watching out for the ISS tonight at about 1120 p.m. when a second satelite was seen following a parallel orbit in from of the ISS.

It was not as bright but was travelling quite fast.

Does anyone have any ideas what satellite it was?

It may have been the Soyuz rocket from Russia. I t will carry 3 austronants to the Spacestation but it was due to take off on the 14th of this month .Will have to check as date might have changed.
China also has the tiangong 1 station up there but I don't think it has been sighted over UK. They are launching 3 astronauts this Saturday to it that will be their first mission to land men on it. Also the soyaz will be on view travelling behind the ISS till it catches up with it in a few days. So weather permitting we could see these double flybyes. We used to see the double flybyes clearly here when the shuttles went up. Look on my posts on chatterbank each evening for info about 6pm. I have been trying to keep people informed when over this way as many did not know they could see the ISS,
Date: July 14 *
Assembly Flight: 31S
Mission: Expedition 32/33
Launch Vehicle: Soyuz TMA-05M
Launch Site: Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan
Description: Soyuz TMA-05M will carry three Expedition 32/33 crew members to the International Space Station.

Looks like it is today for launch .
July 14th is a whole month away. We are only in June. No Soyuz rocket launch today.
I made a mistake that is why I posted above again. Got the wrong month
