hello...
sorry if this isnt the correct topic for this question but im trying to search for some footage of a astroid belt or shower hitting a planet which happend maybe several years ago, the imagies were amazing as the planet was revolving you could see each astroids mark, maybe seven hit this planet and it escapes me which and when...

I think I remember this it was a comet that struck Jupiter wasn't it? Sadly I can't for the life of me remember the name of the comet. The pictures from it were pretty amazing. Maybe if you google Jupiter it might come up with something

Are you referring to the Shoemaker-Levy comet hitting Jupiter ? I think I'd check out the NASA site as a probable place - or just Goggle images.
