I wondered if it's just a matter of belief or not or is there any proof even the tiniest piece, that the future is out there? What do others think or know, if the past has been and we have proof as much as there is of it and the present is now and happening, then isn't the future there ready and waiting to happen? How could we tell if it is or is it all just a guessing game?

But I need to know NOW lololol
the future will be here mañana
There are probably countless possibilities for the future depending on what people do now. It's not mapped out and waiting to happen.

the future is both "there ready and waiting to happen" and "just a guessing game".

the future is not what it used to be.
Today is yesterday tomorrow.

@ ~Eddie - no not time travel but the future for all of us in our individual lives, like in a weeks time or even longer if that makes sense.
Did you see the recent program by brian cox explaining why time travels in only one direction? It was to do with the second law of thermodynamics and entropy. It kind of explains why the future hasnt happened yet (if you believe him I suppose)
It's because bookmakers exist and don't believe in time travel that some of us live lives of luxury. Er I mean some of them....
Didn't John Stuart Mill say that everything was predicted from the beginning of time and we are all only fulfilling that prediction. That no matter what we do it was meant to be and that the future is already mapped out anyway?

No I didn't see that prog squitty but I suppose it's more like supposition than fact just like "the big bang" they can't prove either. If someone dreams of something that actually comes true some time later is that coincidence or meaning that the future is there because they've dreamt of it?
This is the bit I remember. but there wa a lot more explanation around it.

This is only the physics argument not the spiritual one

I don't know who it was Carole but I think I can live with that, perhaps nothing is random it is all meant and is set out.
don't think the future exists cos when it happens it is now
It's irrelevant anyway cos we don't really exist, we are just products of a superior simulation game in something else's universe.
I went to a clairvoyant years ago and everything she said would happen did happen.

Can see your point carmalee. What happens though when someone sets off on a journey now and arrives 2 hours later (given traffic jams, ANPR camera stoppage etc lol) he will be arriving in the future (if he's lucky) though I suppose that will still be now when it happens. Am I confusing everyone? I'm good at that lol.
