I would go with the Gu one. Everything else they do is excellent so I expect their Key Lime Pies will be too.
M&S do a 3 pack of tiny ones.
Large ones at Waitrose are very good.
Gu ones are great
Question Author
where do they sell the Gu ones though?
Waitrose sell a lot of Gu stuff.

mmm, dont have a waitrose by me unfortunately, wonder if sainsburys do them?
nextqueen after I posted about your Gu key lime pie I got to thinking. Are you sure Gu make them? Gu are a chocolate company and key lime pie isn`t chocolate. Are you sure you saw them?
GU ones are okay, but the M&S ones I think are more authentically like Key Lime pies (not the little individual ones, but a large rectangular shaped one. Not all stores stock them, unfortunately.)

I love limes..... especially in gin.
Gu do Fru puddings too, which not surprisingly are fruit based! Saisnbury's do stock some of the range.
Fru`s a separate brand though. Owned by Gu but not the Gu brand. Salla says she`s seen their key lime pies so they must exist. I only go by the dessert shelf about once every two years so I`m probably out of date!
To be honest, the Gu ones I've had, I would describe more as lime cheesecake as opposed to key lime pie.
I'm not sure that people really bother distinguishing between Gu & Fru, it is just accepted that one is choc and the other fruit.

I was served the Fru Key Lime Pie last week and thought it was pretty good. It tasted of lime and not sugar which is good as far as I'm concerned.
its labelled as GU key lime pie http://www.gupuds.com...y-tangy-key-lime-pies

though im not sure about the "Find me in Woolworths" bit
It`s their Australian site.
This is what I had http://www.waitrose.c...8-Fru+Key+lime+pie+2s

And agree with Salla that it is more cheesecake than a classic Key Lime Pie, having said that the desciption states that it is a cheesecake. I wonder how it would go down in Florida where they have tried to protect the recipe!

But I think it tastes OK, largely because it isn't overly sweet.
anyone else really want key lime pie now?
I love the M+S ones too!
Yep.......Me
i think i'm going home via m&S cake section
