Today we went to look at some towns. while we were out he decided he wanted to go to Nogent-le-Rotrou, He typed in in the sat nav and it came up before he finished typing it. he accepted it and off we went. about an hour and a half later I looked at the map, got my bearings and we were at the opposite side of the county or department we wanted. I did a ferret around the map and discovered there were two places starting with Nogent. He had accepted Nogent-le -Roi. We decided to go home instead. We were about 60 miles out of our way!
We still had a good day though, the weather is superb, so hot.

it isn't hot here, so you're still ahead of the game even if your Nogents are all of a muddle.
just seen below - you start a lot of threads with this title! Are you trying to tell us something?

Yes, things always happen to him!
Glad the weather has been nice for you today. It has been another glorious day here again in the south east,
, sunshine and blue sky all day long again.

Your holiday sounds like a real adventure!
Glad weather is good. It's glorious here, too, in the East Riding. Cool at nights, though.
Caran, you must be related to Gness, glad you're having a great time x
As your hubby can't tell Nogent-le -Roi from Nogent-le-Rotrou, did you tell him that he's 'No gent'?
Chris has nicked my joke......but it wasn't ...No Gent! ...I imagined you called him...

Have more fun, Caran......☺
Must be the wine, Caran....or the Calvados....great shop in Rouen for XO Calva, on the other side of the road that passes the west door, a little back down towards the bridge over La Seine, other side of the road....
Thanks for bringing me a very happy memory of a visit to Nogent-leRotrou.
Many years ago now - went to stay with a French matelot and his family.
Pierre and I were both based in Trincommalee during the war and promised we would try to meet again when it was all over - so glad we did.
Thanks for the memory
Best wishes
