Thanks Steff...all geared up and ready to go, although again I don't know when I'll be able to add my links as we're going to a St. Patrick's Night at the golf club tomorrow and my Granddaughter is being baptised on Sunday (I'll probably be eight sheets to the wind when I do manage to access my PC!)

Hope that all is well with you and the weather is not too extreme.
Cheers steff - well, I know two of them, without having to look!

Hi twix and boxy - all good here for now - glad I'm not in Japan right now.

twix - St Pats is days away, you're getting in a bit early, aren't you ??

boxy - I had one to look up, makes a change, which is great !!
We're not getting St. Patrick's Day in early, just making it last, especially as we're allowed a break from Lenten duties for it! Also, the golf club was already booked for next Saturday.

sounds good to me, anything to keep the revels revelling !!
16a I think the eventing world, being somewhat old-fashioned and more conscious of etiquette than KM, would have preferred that clue to have read "English equestrienne"!
Question Author
oh i don't know, Strix - all the actresses want to called actors these days, why should the eventing world be any different - oooh, ducking the incoming from Mrs Strix !!!!!!!
Go to the continent for Three Day Eventing (a.k.a. Concours Complet International or Military) and she would be called an "Amazone"!
Question Author

Example from French newspaper

"l'amazone britannique Sharon Hunt avait gagné sur le
hongre Tankers Town........... et sa compatriote Mary King......."
