Some were discussing on here earlier how contestants on TV quiz shows seem to have a lack of general knowledge. I've just watched tonight's The Chase and witnessed this:

Bradley Walsh: What barrier was Chuck Yeager the first to break?
Conestant: The Thames.

I remember one of those Family Fortunes show:

Q: Name something blue
A: My cardigan.
It is nerves, few years back a lad from work was on a tv quiz show think he answered one question. before they started filming the show they had a mock run and he had the highest points. They had a short break for a drink of tea/coffee then they started to film the show and he just froze.
ha ha. I remember that one. There was also this one:-

Q Name a place in Scotland
A. Fillet of fish

Think his brain must have been thinking plaice.

Do you remember one ages ago in Family Fortunes where a guy said Turkey for every answer in the final round? It went something like:

Name something you eat at Christmas?
Turkey

Name a place you go on holiday?
Turkey

Name something you buy in a supermarket?
Turkey

and so on....
