Does anyone know whether it's possible to cut a hole (or have a hole cut) in a glass sliding door, to install a cat flap?

It is possible. You have to make sure the particular catflap you use is suitable...Staywell have one I think. In my area it costs about 40 to have it cut by a professional glazier.

Thanks, PurplePixie. Does that include toughened/safety glass?
I'm sure the one I had done last must have been safety glass, as it was at the bottom of a door.
Hi there, After being told it wasn't possible we found a chap who could do it. We had a cat flap fitted to one of our security patio doors. They removed the original piece of glass  and cut another piece with the cat flap (Staywell) We've had it for three years now and it's still going strong. Hope that helps.

Thanks GucciGal. My concern is that the door is one whole sheet of glass, so a section can't be replaced.
