Mampara, sorry for not answering sooner. Was this a crossword or a quiz with a theme? With respect to JMR27 I can't see how polis is the answer to that clue. Cinders in my dictionary is "danders". Dander can mean stroll or anger,temper. Archie? I'm trying to figure out how Prescott got that. Yes, coppers can mean pennies-at least when I was a bairn . Sorry I can't help you.
