The Irish will no doubt be laughing that France were denied a penalty in their first match and were well beaten by Mexico in their second. But, if I was Irish, I'd just be fed up that France have played so badly and with so little effort because the Irish always try their hearts out for every second of every match they play. What do you think, especially if you're Irish?
I think France tried hard. Mexico were the better team though. The commentator said at the beginning of the match how impressive Mexico's passing skills were.
There's a few happy Irish today.....I might even have a drink :-)
The problem with Henry was his silence about it until the FA said that the match wouldn't be replayed. Then he piped up saying it should knowing the decision was final.....Finance Specialist!!
Cascarino was born in England but qualified to play for Ireland through his Irish grandfather. But in his autobiography he admitted that his mother told him she had been adopted and was therefore not a blood relative to his grandfather. As he put it in his book "I was a fraud. A fake Irishman."
