Help, I cant find the only set of car keys we have, I got home yesterday so they must be here. Car is never locked at night as we live in the country only we are stuck here as we are a 1 car family. Can I get a copy of the key, naturally I can provide ownership docs etc... and how much will it cost roughly? Car is a C Reg and do I need to get the car towed to a garage?

If you tow it with no keys you wont get far .... because your steering lock will be engaged..!
If the car is a hatchback, the key No is on the barrel but this means taking off the hatchback lock, it's on the body of the lock, it's not a big job to do, it should take about 1/2 hr.

Just a bit of advice for finding keys-- if you have a tumble drier or washing machine that isn't under a work surface try looking down the back of them, I found my phone down the back of the washing machine once as it had been vibrated off in the spin cycle lol!
Did they fit immobilisers when C reg's were built?
