Well, time moves on and we are already in the third week in the reign of “Prince Philip” (aka centrino) and last weekend I thought that the MM game was absolutely perfect with lots of entrants picking up points. The only problem was that I was somewhat rushed and overlooked mirandasmum’s “Root Crop”, which actually was the first time that this Link Word had been predicted! This means that I had failed to credit her with Two Points. The scoreboard has now been corrected.

Just to show how time flies, yesterday was grandson Harry’s first birthday and his party is to be held tomorrow here at the Croft. He is now walking and has a wide range of guttural sounds from “goo-goo” to a perfectly formed raspberry! He appears to favour blondes and can capture a heart with an instant smile.

Back to business! We can expect “Prince Philip” to post the MM Links tomorrow morning; starting at 08.45am and declaring the words to be linked 09.00am, when MM Links kicks off in earnest. Remember ~ in the MM Links Game, initial hits (or repeated hits shortly afterwards) gain bonus points!

Of course, you should also look out for the international version of this same game which is called KM Links and kicks off at a very early hour (which is difficult to predict precisely). Consequently, the timing of your KM posting is deemed to be irrelevant ~ only the number of hits you are able to register. The regular organiser of KM Links comes all the way from Oz and goes by the name of “seekeerz” (aka Steff).

As I always say ~ “Why not chance your arm at both Link Games?” They remain open for most of the weekend and all entries are scored and entered on to master scoreboards. Over the last weeks, we have welcomed four or five talented newcomers ~ some of whom have found early success with their predictions.

Until I see you tomorrow ~ “Happy Linking”!

:o)

Am having trouble accessing t'internet tonight...so hope I can stay on for a bit!
Had trouble all day with it...

Is it really a year already Crofter?!...Hope you all have a good day.
I had problems earlier in the day with internet; very slow and unresponsive. I thought it might be because it's half-term - all those pupils with nothing better to do....
Hi tearinghair...it's taking me ages to post anything...and just as long to download the sites I go on. I gave up over the last two days....and read a book! There is life away from a computer....I even did a bit of knitting this week! I need to get better properly soon...and get out!! :-))
Knitting is good! very therapeutic. What do you knit? I prefer lacy patterns, particularly baby shawls. Unfortunately no-one left to knit them for now.
It occurs to me that with one sentence I have completely destroyed my street cred in the eyes of three-quarters of the participants in MM links.....
Good evening Jan, Pauline and Tearinghair.
Good to see you back in action Pauline - even knitting - never tried it myself, although my wife taught all our 4 boys when they were young. She still knits from time to time, don't think the boys do though.
Hi all. Pauline, noticed you'd been missing for a while great to see you back. Good luck with the links tomorrow. I'm sure you'll show us all up!!
I was cut off again!! Grrr..
I am knitting an Arran jumper for a male friend who is not very well. It is going to be a surprise for him...and for me when I finish it. Not knitted for a few years.
I started when I was 10 years old...and I do find it relaxing.

Good to see you x-ray....
Good evening all.

Pauline, when are you going to finish the Arran jumper, if you started it when you were 10 years old? ;-)))
meant to say tearinghair...my daughters laugh at me knitting!

Hi miss meg...I have been awol as I have been on a 'NHS retreat'....and still recovering. Am getting better now though.
Lucky friend! I hope he appreciates your bravery....not the easiest thing to knit. I used to do a nice line in knitted Christmas puddings.
Very funny twix!! :-))
What did the Christmas puddings taste like ?
Was that with custard or rum sauce tearinghair?
It was cream coloured wool, so I suppose vanilla custard......the problem was with the holly leaves on top, which perced the lips with every mouthful.
or pierced, even.
LOL....hope you poured brandy on it!
I am giving up trying to access and stay on line....keep getting cut off...so will see you all tomorrow....hopefully!
Good Luck everyone.
