htermuchty Tolbooth and Old Town House are dated 1728, although the tower is believed to be of a much earlier date.
The parish church at Auchtermuchty became the focus of some astonishment about 150 years ago when it revealed a secret to the town. Quite by accident it would seem, it was discovered that the church bell was of silver. It was later discovered that the bell is one of the Lady Bells from nearby Lindores Abbey. does this help janeevans?
You seem to have chopped off the first couple of letters of Auchtermuchty, Vinny, although you've got the whole name with ref to the church.
