Good morning everyone from a very overcast afternoon down my way - well it's the 2nd of winter so what else can you expect.

One of the tricky weeks, this one - two very popular selections and two that barely got a mention.
dot & dash who drops in occasionally was the only one to come up with Over Active and kayakamina - the name that inspires awe - was one of only two who punted on Soup Spoon.
Skate Board was a very popular choice, while the option for April came down to one out of two - was I the only person to think of the film ?? looks like it, so April Fool me, but aren't we in June now ??

As well as welcoming kayakamina to our ranks this weekend, Claud Butler and ladyh both joined us for the first time and nice to see anikomo back again, too.

And now to who scored what -

crofter was the only entry to pick up 6 points for 3 correct entries .

cliffyg, kayakamina, beejay1124, x-ray, Jim, Aquagility,
Gill G, ShazzaHewit, dot & dash, freebi2 & Magyar
all scored 3 points for two correct while a further 28 entries collected a point each.

I'll post this now and return with the Leader Board straight afterwards S

And just what happened in the great race between the "two old stagers" ??

Did Aquagility hold onto his lead or did the reigning king of last month crofter manage to make up enough points to pip him at the post ?????

The Leader Board

On 18 points - Aquagilitytakes the crown for May by one point from -
crofter with 17 points

In third place, with 11 points came roslyn251254

with 10 points - london_lassy & grannydi

with 9 points LaneyB

with 8 points cliffyg, x-ray, Jim & ladyalex

and with 7 points Elspeth, mirandasmum, JRB, Mr O,
bridgenut, Gill & Jean G, joto & seekeerz

A very good month all round with everyone picking up points somewhere and as next weekend is a new month, time to start again - so same place, same time next Saturday, have a good week and I'll see you all then, [except of course for Chris & Shazza Hewit who will be back at the beginning of July - enjoy yourselves,]........Skz

ps am expecting scud missiles very soon, so will duck quickly, byeeee
Thanks, Steff, and well done the Field.
This was a most exciting race for me, with a photo finish. My chivalry (?) in not marking his choices word for word so nearly let my old friend crofter past at the post.

It was a near thing, are you still going sailing this month or will you stay to defend your crown ??

just goes to show you can still teach us 'youngies' a thing or two !!!
Hi, Steff. Fair stands the wind for East Anglia - I hope to get away at the weekend. I'm still trying to get my laptop tp work on board, but don't hold your breath.
Enjoy flaming June, all of you. Aq.
Thanks seekeerz, Maddening thing is that I changed my original selections for April and spoon! Otherwise I would have got a full 6 points.
Never mind - it's only a game but how addictive!
Have a good week
Congratulations Aquagility - a truly outstanding performance !!
Hi Aq, hope your laptop works onboard - Not sure where you would tie-up in my area (think I mention Felixstow but I know that's a port and not for your type of boat) I'm not far from Ipswich (I know they have boats there sometimes and Woodbridge?? Manningtree??) if you are anywhere near that area I'll try and come and meet you. (Now that's something to look forward to. :-)))
S, your spelling has gone awry!!

"two old stagers" ??

You missed out the second "g"

But well done to the Master Mariner - fair winds and safe anchorages.
Ancient Mariner, more like, Strix.
Well, I'm just delighted to have made the leaderboardthis month...haven't done that for a long time.
Congratulations to Aquagility and thanks to seekeerz.

Scud missiles ????
I thoroughly enjoyed this month's Link Games seekeerz ~ and so pleased to be able to give my older friend Aquagility a run for his money.
[I picked up that use of "older" from kay evsajo!]

I have learned that the best way for me to play the game is to go with my first instincts ~ before I look at what others have predicted!

As for Aquagilty, I'll get you on the way back!!
Thanks Steff. not so good this month, but I see I am in very good company on the 8-point mark.
Hope everybody has a good week and enjoy the sunshine when you can.
Congratulations to aquagility and also to crofter for such a good contest.
Thanks Steff and congrats to Aquagility. (Be sure to give a wave if you are sailing past Mablethorpe!)

Crofter - doesn't Kay usually say "much older"?!!!!
Well done everyone!
Thank you very much for the welcome! Well done to all the winners and thank you for running such a fun game. Ladyh
