Yes, wandering through the Botanical Gardens in Singapore, I came face to face with a girl who had been in my class at school in a small town in the north-east of Scotland many years earlier!

We were on holiday in eilat once and talked to another couple in our hotel now and again.


We got back home and my son wanted some new strings for his guitar, So we went to Romford the next day to get some and who was behind the counter, the bloke that we were talking to in eilat.

I made an appointment in the hair dressers at the hotel we were stayng in in Jersey,only to find the stylist i was booked with was the same one i had gone to for years in my hometown until she left to work on the cruise ships a couple of years previously. Turned out she hated the ships but fell in love on board with a guy that lived in Jersey and had been there ever since.

Got shouted at by a guy in a Tuk Tuk as I crossed a busy road in Bangkok... was just about to shout some abuse back before realising it was a friend who I had arranged to meet near Laos, but not for another month... he was only in Bangkok that particular day to sort some money matters... and I was only there that day before going on to somewhere else...

Happens all the time! - have loads of strange encounters with people my family and i know, from my son's high school p.e teacher in Miami, my daughter's friend in the Bahama's, a girl i was engaged too at 19, in Gran Canaria, my wife's hairdresser in Paris( strange thing is my wife is from the USA!!!) - loads more too at hotels and airports especially - spooky 'eh!!

P.s Just got back last night from Mallorca, in a large group and we saw a few familiar ones out there too - mostly kids from our children's schools!!
