14 - finesse?
33 - sop-ran-o
Disregard finesse. It fits the definition but not the theme - sorry.
Perhaps trump on its own?
Might be RUFF.
To ruff is to play a trump and a ruff is a percussion instrument, according to wikipedia.

thanks everyone more confused than ever now. I can see soprano but still sure about no14. The question seems to be printed in bold and in the past this has meant there are at least to words within the clue (anagram). But at the moment i am going with trumpet.

Wendypol - if it helps, my clue 14 is not printed in bold, but it is larger print than all the other clues.
Question Author
thanks I wonder if that is significant or just a problem with their printer. Some of the clues are hard enough without any extra difficulties.
