19d damage=scar+ce(establishment)
presumably establishment is 'ce' ( church of england )
so damage = scar + ce
Isn't ce french abbreviation or company (companie)?

CE, French for this (as in ce soir)
Compagnie is abbreviated as Cie.

I am developing a cynical view of these highly ambiguous Telegraph clues; at first I thought it was sloppy, but now I'm considering an ulterior motive concerning their precious website.
