KM Links Game - January week 1 Results

Good morning to all the early risers and I gather it's been snowing in certain parts of the country..........brrrrrr.
Have been giving some thought to the fact that KM links are posted pretty early for most people [ and thank you to those who provide me with the information ] I'm considering actually posting the results at a later time slot - the poasting would come in about 11.00am your time and perhaps this way it may be easier to find - I realise that by Monday evening the thread can be buried some 8-9 pages back - any ideas from anyone around at this ridiculous time would be very welcome.
Ok shall sit back now for a little while preparing for the onslaught of points to come...................S

usually you're one of the regulars with the matches but perhaps you've gone to lie down wth a stiff drink to settle your nerves - on the otherhand, you could have opened a bottle of bubbly and be well away by now !!!!
that was some start to the new Year - a clean sweep with four correct matches - very well done, you now go onto a very short list of those who have achieved a perfect score and believe me, there's not too many on it.
In view of this spectacular feat, I will delay publishing the results from this week till later, also a lot of people did very well in the 'good guess' dept. so if you've come to check out the Leader Board, come back for a full round up etc in about 3 hours time...........bye for now S
Hi Steff, I'm usually up and about at this time and getting ready for work. Just managed to get the Xword printed of earlier and you'll find you have your copy all ready. :-))
Yes we had Christmas with my son, his wife and our new grandson. He's gorgous, but then I'm biased. :-))) Lurgy had subsided by then thank goodness.
Thinking about posting later from my point of veiw, it's not good. I work on a Monday and don't have access to this site from work. So I wouldn't be able to find the post by the time I got home. As you're the one doing all the work you should do it at your convenience though.

Many thanks Jools - that will give me something to do this evening - TV has gone to the 'dogs' if you don't like sport and we're not really night owls so putting a DVD on is a bit pointless - we're usually both asleep before its over.

Wow !! did this year get off to a flyer !!!
The first entry, from cliffyg made a complete clean sweep of all four matches and all the bonus points as well, plus an extra 2points and a place on the list of those who have done it before and there's not too many of them.
From there we went staright to the 'good guess' department and there were quite a few of these, all scoring three points for their efforts, namely miss meg [!!] Christiana, fordward, chriss, wickedtongue & teacher1
And a whole heap more with two points to their names -
lysander, london_lassy, grannydi, Chiefpanda, rosly251254, Jim of JimJools, crofter, Dustybun [hi there]
Mrs E & eccles, gassbagertie [ Gill ] Shazza & ChrisHewit &
Magyar Must say I loved the way the eccles and Hewit families shared the points out between each other !!!
A further 20 entrants all opened their account for the new year and just a few of us are a little slow off the mark so far.
The Leader Board looks like this

and will all those with 3, 2 or 1 point each fall in to a nice tidy line behind the leader and now march off, singing "We are the Champions' or something similar !!!
While they're all doing that, a quick word to ulysses - so saddened to hear of Deefa's passing - all of us who love and have lost pets know how you are feeling, theirs is such a selfless love and we are the better for it - this is the only glitch in the system. You have my deep sympathy, love Steff

Don't get excited, anyone - this is just a sort of spare wheel to keep in the boot in case it may be needed!
What a score, cliffyg! I got Spine chiller. Treble clef and Echo chamber were clearly options. But I would never have guessed Plumb rule. Is that the same as a spirit level?

wow cliffyg congratulations! Mind you I think you should have got an extra five points for managing your clean-sweep score as the very first entrant. Let's face it - you can't get any better than that!
