I took advice from Quizmonster this morning and ended up doing 24572 by mistake, still can't get today's though.

My apologies for that! I looked at my copy of the last Prize Crossword as I was about to throw it into the recycling bin. It was numbered 24571, so I instantly went for 24572...utterly forgetting that there had been a whole week's-worth of other numbers intervening.
The Christmas crossword is now on the Guardan site. Again, sorry.

Thanks Quizmonster went to bed for 2 hours up at 3 am.Just started printing ran out of ink, all sorted now thank you very much.
