Good Evening AB Linkers, from North to South Pole!

Welcome to the beginning of the third week in the reign of Lady Slaney, who is off to pastures new for a couple of weeks! More on that tomorrow. Before she went, she left with me two weeks' supply of Links Words and gave me carte blanche to make whatever adjustments that I felt were necessary! [Very unwise] Hence, I shall launch the MM Links posting on her behalf tomorrow morning at 8.45am and declare her words for linking at the usual time of 9.00am. The rest is over to you.

I hope that things will go smoothly, but as some of you regulars may know, my Sunday's posting last week of answers and scores was banned from AB as being "chatter". As soon as I realised what had happened, I fired an email of explanation and as far as I am aware, it has been restored and there should be no repeat this weekend ~ but nothing in this life is certain!

I shall get down immediately to the business in hand before I attract undue attention. If all goes according to plan, the words of Lady Slaney should be declared at 9.00am and I should close the game down at 7.00pm on Sunday and score the entries. Furthermore, seekeerz will open the posting of the international version of this same game which is called KM Links at an earlier time. In this case, the words to be linked come from the Herculis crossword in the Daily Telegraph. Here, the predictions are processed by our very own Wizard(ess) from Oz, seekeerz.

As I always say, "Why not chance your arm at both Link Games?" They remain open for most of the weekend and all entries are scored and entered on to master scoreboards. There are over 40 regular entries every week and newcomers are always welcome.

Until we meet again, may I wish you all "Happy Linking"!

Well x-ray...I'm on my second glass of wine. Just had a mince pie...so am feeling all Christmassy.
Mind you Reg lights our house up for charity every year...so you can't help feeling Christmassy with them on!

Talking of charity...I believe a fourth, and probably final, Dragonfly quiz is almost ready.
Crofter and I have both had other things happening for us, so we have delayed it until the New Year...maybe February.
There are lots on the go right now anyway.

I was talking to him on the phone this week...and he said I was the Dragon in Dragonfly!!! Not nice was it!!
Come on everybody, 29 is one of the easier song titles
Well, I've done well then - I've got the 24 hard ones !
Great quiz by the way, really enjoying it.
I did have that x-ray...but suppose that's wrong then.

I enjoyed this quiz also....John has worked hard on it.
I look forward to the next dragonfly quiz Pauline. Crofter's quizzes are always excellent and test those little grey cells enough to keep you interested but not too much that you want to give up, unlike some others I could mention.
Glad you are both enjoying it. There's still plenty of time to find those elusive answers, or have a re-think before the closing date.
You may be right Pauline....but I've never heard it.
Yes, look forward to Dragonfly - as Magyar says, just right to keep one interested.
I'm finding gen2s one very difficult, am still ploughing through it though.
I have vowed to give up quizzes over Christmas - still time left on most of them that I am doing.
Just popped in briefly. Couldn't resist telling you all of my latest faux pas. I had a perm recently and it lightened the colour of my hair, so my friend Mo called me a 'bond bombshell' just now. 'Huh' I snorted, 'more like a damp squid' and wondered why she fell about laughing.
Oh dear, not bond, but blond.
Just checking there are still some of you hanging off the branches of the shrubbery!

Only just got back from collecting daughter from airport ready for her two weeks of vacation from University.

Hope you all have a really good Christmas and no duplicate presents!

Enjoy, enjoy and keep the alka-sletzer close to hand.

Best wishes and cheers
Strix
Hi Grandsons are in bed, 2 sons in law gone for a drink and one daughter and Granddaughter have gone home. Nicky and her friend talking in other room so can get back on here!!!!
Pasuline forgot to say there is also an elephant head in D/up box!!!!!
Must admit haven't done ant quizzes for ages. Are you allowed to tell us the question you are struggling with or is it too soon????
Oh, Christiana, I can't resist your typos.

The combination between an 007 bimbo and a limp octopus is just too wonderful to contemplate!!
Christiana what with your squid and my ant!!!!!
Strix have a good Christmas (the same to everyone else on here.) Happy Christmas and an even Happier New Year
Surely you've heard of Octopussy, Strix?
Christiana...I am wondering why...have I missed something? I never do see these things!!!

x-ray...I have done about half of gen2's also...will try and concentrate on it properly over the 'quieter' ?? times at Christmas!!
Pauline, it should be 'squib' not 'squid'.
Christiana, I think any further questions, from me and answers from you might, albeit we are after the 9o'clock threshold, make us liable to be barred from this website!
Ahhh!!!....Think I must be dyslecksick...dizlexick...or maybe dyslexic?? :-))

I also hope you all have Happy Christmases!!....and not too many hangovers!....or socks!
What's all this about bannings and barrings, have I missed something?
Really Strix, I can't think what you mean. Here I am talking about a James Bond Classic and you are casting 'nasturtiums' - dyslexia rules K.O Pauline.
