Good Evening AB Linkers, everywhere!
Welcome to the second week in the reign of Lady Slaney, who is all primed for tomorrow's MM Launch. Last weekend, I took a break from AB to witness the happy union of Daniel and Laura in wedded bliss. (Isn't that an oxymoron?) All went (more or less) according to plan and the wine flowed freely. No one confessed to setting off the fire alarm in the early hours (which summoned a fire engine to the hotel)! All in all, a fairly average wedding ?!

In my absence, points flowed as freely as treacle! What�s more, I find evsajo as joint leader (What IS the world coming to?) My congratulations go to all seven scorers who have inched their way onto the leader board and my sincere thanks to gen2 for processing the entries in my absence. For those who haven�t realised, gen2 is an alphanumeric version of gentu ~ a penguin found in Antarctica in abundance. More on that next week!
Last Friday, my Quiz at the Cricket Club went well ~ with a winning score of 40/50 taking first prize. The anagrams went down well with �A singer (5,6) from MORMON IDEAS?� giving rise to MARIE OSMOND. The biggest laugh of the evening came from my last one in this section, which is (working backwards) is an anagram (6,5) of DAVID GINOLA! It fits the pattern V****A D***O!

I shall get down to the business in hand before the red wine takes over completely. This weekend it will be everything back to normality. Lady Slaney should open the MM Links posting at 8.45am and second set of four words to be linked being declared at 9.00am. As usual, I shall close the game down at 7.00pm on Sunday and score the entries. Furthermore, seekeerz will open the posting of the international version of this same game which is called KM Links at an earlier time. In this case, the words to be linked come from the Herculis crossword in the Daily Telegraph. Here, the predictions are processed by our very own Wizard(ess) from Oz, seekeerz.
As I always say, �Why not chance your arm at both Link Games?� They remain open for most of the weekend and all entries are scored and entered on to master scoreboards. Newcomers are always welcome.

Hi Jan...I did some this morning...and the best part...delivering them is next week.

They have been eating and drinking since 3pm...so wish me luck!
He was Santa at a local Nursery this week...and one little girl asked him where his reindeers were!

Hi, have just finished putting up my 2nd. Christmas tree and Christmas cards. Feel shattered as I have to keep going up and down the loft lader to bring things down.
Crofter why the surprise that I am joint leader?????? I just like to give others a chance then every so often I think "I will try this week".......last week was one of those weeks!!!!
For the last 10 years i have been taking part in the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing and every 2 years someone visits me and discusses everything that has happened in the previous 2 years. Where is this all leading???? you may ask, well Crofter today I had my tests and 1 was to remember a list of 10 words read once and then left for a while, then I had to see how many I remembered. In the allotted time I remembered 8 and was told that was the most anyone in my age group had remembered. I then had to list as many animals as I could in a given time. I named 27 and the interviewer and her boss were amazed!!!!!. So you see I am just pretending to be thick!!!!!! (and silly) lol ( and if you believe that you will believe anything!!!!!
Phew.... what an epistle, had better go and lie down!!!!!

The kitten is getting stronger each day! :-))
She is eating well now...she is back at the vets on Tuesday.
......My daughters brought home a stray abandoned kitten a week last Tuesday...she was only 4 weeks old, and the vet gave her days to live. She is still here...getting stronger each day. Fed every few hours around the clock...heated blanket etc etc !!!
She will hopefully be here to join us in the shrubbery one night!
She is eating well now...she is back at the vets on Tuesday.
