Have I got News for you
Fawlty Towers?
I thought Fawlty Towers too, as they always changed the letters of the name plate, finishing, I think with the classic. "Farty Towels"
I think 'Citizen Smith' always had a slightly different end to the opening credits.
Not wishing to spoil this debate, but I will anyway!!!

1. Isn't "Comedy Sitcom" a tautology.

2. Have I Got News for You is not a Sitcom in the normal sense of the word.

3. Fawlty Towers had the same signs for episodes 2 and 7 (FAWLTY TOWER with the L hanging down and the S missing)

doesn't the term 'credits' refer to the words rather than the 'visuals' ??

My first thought in any case was 'Terry and June'
