Good Evening AB Linkers, everywhere!

Welcome to this second week in the reign of Lady Alex, who will appear in person tomorrow ~ having been out of the country on state business! I expect that you will have lined up a real Shrubbery Welcome for her as befitting a new monarch.

Last week was somewhat subdued (in the absence of some notable rabble-rousers). It doesn't take long to work out who causes all the noise! Tonight is Quiz Night at the Cricket Club and it's my turn as Quiz Master. I have based tonight's Quiz on Alphabetic Double Deckers with the first answer starting with AA, the second with BB, etc. I might as well kill two birds with one stone!

For those who havent heard, this second Dragonfly Quiz raised over 700 (thats over 1,300 from both Quizzes) and the winner of the first prize was Roger Rabbit! This success is due to a number of positive factors, not least the personal touch when it comes to the dealing with entries and entrants! Enough said!

Last week, I noticed half a dozen new names among the entrants, and the sport of Word Linking is open to all and newcomers are truly welcome ~ and with every chance of success. As I said last week, Lady Alex, was top monthly scorer at her first attempt. The four words to be linked will be declared at 9.00am tomorrow, when MM Links kicks off in earnest.

The international version of this same game is called KM Links and kicks off at the unearthly hour of about 06.30am! Keep your eyes open for seekeerz from Oz, who works on antipodean time to keep law and order among the ranks. She then collates the entries and keeps score. Why not chance your arm at both Link Games?
Who's got the corkscrew and the bottle opener? I'm sitting here under some sort of green veg/tree clutching my tray of smoked sandwiches waiting for someone to share them with.

You ladies can't all be off pandering to your husbands with "Good day at the office, darling? Let me open another bottle of vino collapso..had a bottle earlier before I had a shower after the young Polish plumber left...."
Sugar, the salmon slipped the hook and escaped from the smoked sandwiches!!
I am afraid it's going to be a bit quiet again tonight as the ringleader of the ladeees is out for the evening. Not saying who but do the initials PW mean anything!!!!!!
I now find I can't have any more Baileys and am in a massive depression!!!!! How will I survive without my nightly glass?
Isn't there anyone else out there? I have to phone my son and daughter in a minute but I will return!!!!
LadyAlex if you are around please feel free to pop in.
Evening all, sounds a bit quiet out there.
I'm supposed to be working, but having a break, one of many I hope.
