Hi, i wonder if anyone can tell me the legal status of pub and nightclub toilets? A friend of mine was "disturbed" in a club toilet recently by a bouncer, who demanded to search the individual, and when he found nothing, had to let them go.

When he told me about this it immediately seemed wrong that a bouncer can just poke their head over the wall of a toilet cubicle without warning (or explanation).

I'm sure bouncers have a hard time preventing mischief in toilets, but surely they can't just barge in like this, any more than they can fit toilets with cameras!!
