Any clues would be welcome to Q 36 A picture of a large bell with seemingly an outside clapper.
AND.
Q 57 A medieval English Law Officer who arrested criminals with a very long wooden rod with a noose on the end. Nine letters, and is appropriate. I've found a nine letter word beginning with J but no reference to arresting with rod although sounds a bit appropriate.
Thanks.

Haven't seen the pictures, but 36 sounds like (arguably) the most famous bell in the world. Try google images for a picture of it.
The bell one has already been answered on answerbank. I think the clue was "think Zatopek."
Q57 Begins with a c and describes what he does and what he does it with. Good luck.

Thanks dimple. I thought the bell had been asked for but at the time I thought I'd find it easy. Not.
Thanks for the c word clue. I'll start searching the xword list book.
