can anyone help with the nationality of these two composers as google gives me one answer and my quiz books give me another

I'm sure Smetana is Czechoslovakian.

And Villa-Lobos was Brazilian

In 2 reference works I have Smetana is described as "Bohemian" and since he was born in 1824 and Czechosloavakia was not created until 1918 I would imagine his nationality was Bohemian.
Might be as well to cover yourself by saying something like :
Bohemian(modern day Czech Republic)
