KM Links Game - January week 1 Results

Yes, I'm trying to redeem myself after a very sloppy start to this new month by posting this now, well before I expect any action from this morning's 'whizz kidz' who may or may not have to walk to their newsagents to collect the paper - I do hope it's not slippery underfoot !!

It's lovely to see so many faces safely back from holidays or just time out over the busy season, back with us again - in particular the Hewits after the excitement of finding family members after so many years - I hope that all went very well.

Well, it looks like Magyar has set quite an example for us all, with 4out of 4 over on MM Links - how he managed it, I do not know, but I think, if I want to stick around, I'd better keep my thoughts to myself !!

However, it'd be nice if we could start the new year off as well as Magyar, or just close - I'd settle for that.

Thanks for asking, seekeerz, things are OK after a quiet Christmas (the young were all travelling!) I'm determined to get back to full fitness after 18 months struggle with an injured leg (a stupid home accident). Best wishes to you and yours in the coming months.

Now that's what I call a good weekend, with lots and lots of points, going in all directions.

Before we get started though, I have made an Executive Decision [ yes, all by myself !! ] and in the case of Strobe Light I have decided to accept all the variations ie lights and lighting and award points to all - yes I know, I'm being very generous, but as Michelle said "I will do this only once" !!!!! [ at least I think it was Michelle ]

sarumite has started the new year exceptionally well with bonus points for both Travel Agency and Bugle Horn, plus an extra one for Strobe Light making a grand total of five points and leads the scoring at present !!!

joto & seekeerz both picked up bonus points for Strobe Light[s] and paulineward gathered up Treasure Island and the last two bonus points plus one, while wondering where it was she had to be at 8.45 - I ask you !!

Points came very freely with Alibobs, Eiggam, Prescott, eccles & Mr O-ice all collecting three points for good
guesses and a special mention here for Mrs Eccles & Mrs O-ice who both scored two points each, collectively scoring 5 points apiece for their respective households - now that's not quite good enough to tip sarumite off his perch - well, not this week anyway.

Lots of people scored two points and lots more one point, so congratulations everyone - that's a terrific start, now we have to keep up the good work !!!

Now I'd better go and help mr seekeerz entertain the friends who turned up just as I was about to start scoring - shocking when a game takes preference, nah, they know I'm bats so they take no notice !!! Catch you all later S

All went very well thanks Steff and it looks as if we are all going to meet up in February and I have the added bonus of a two-pointer this weekend; whatever next!!!!
