What is the name for a stag in it's 2nd year

S (10) I have seen Salamander suggested but I'm not sure

Just checked in Chambers ..the definition for both brocket and knobber is ..stag in its second year.

Thank you slaney (again) and Metz. The only one left that I wasn't sure of was

'The artful dodger had one' (6) - I've gone for Dipper ie pickpocket - do you think that that is a bit tenuous?
