MM Links Solutions July [Week 3]

This third week of the reign of Queen Christiana found her in a most reflective mood as you will see when I reveal the chosen Link Words of Christiana were:
Brown STUDY
London DUNGEON
PONTOON Bridge
NEAR Death
Quite a "sombre" choice links you must agree! Yet there were hints in the preamble such as use of the words: "barely alive" and "imprisoned" that few people spotted! The outcome is that the field is now wide open for a final round next week!

I was surprised to see that the first to be spotted was LONDON DUNGEON by Entrant #5, Jules001, who is proving to be a shrewd player of MM. Things went quiet for a few minutes until 09.07 when slaney came in as Entrant #12 with a very enigmatic BROWN STUDY to score another bonus point. In her �two-minute wake� came Jools to qualify for the same TWO Points.
In the past, all four links are usually spotted by this point in the proceedings, but not so this week. It took over 45 minutes before ex-champion gen2, having studied the runes, predicted NEAR DEATH to pick up another TWO Points! That left PONTOON BRIDGE to be predicted and we had to wait until our Canadian friends showed us the way! Bert Ont-ice came in to claim the last scalp after nearly 10 hours of UK playing time. Since no-one scored more than TWO Points this round, I name �last man standing� Bert Ont-ice as �Hot Shot of the Week�

How is the month shaping up? Well, only bangor & patchett have be able to score on all three weeks ~ that�s no mean feat! Also gen2 is only in it for the ride! So there�s any one of 15 players who can win the coveted title next week.

Congratulations to Jules, Slaney, Gen 2 and Bert ont-ice who picked up on my somewhat obscure reference to gambling to put 'pontoon' with bridge. This was particularly pleasing to me as I realised he was at something of a disadvantage with London Dungeon, though probably others of you, too, have not visited that interesting(?) place.
Well! His Lordship is quite pleased with himself and his new title.
Me? I'm about to give him heck for spoiling our excellent run for the boobie prize. Three weeks without a blimp to spoil that until today. I hope it doesn't mean we lose our membership in the Free Fall club as well?

wow I couldn't get on the pc to check last night so was surprised to see this morning that one of my choices had been a 'direct hit'. Still don't think it's going to change the end of the month results too much though, this is the first time I have scored anything this month:)
