these are last ones I am stuck on - all London Underground stations

tentative stab at 4 Rickmansworth. Rick is a pile of hay- could promoting growth be a mans worth?
Aha!! 1. Sandwich is a Kentish Town!
7 Walthamstow Central==there is a dog track there

Very clever burnhal - was not thinking of Sandwich the town.
I had thought of ricksmanworth but not sure about the promoting growth bit but worth a try.
No 5 - spelt the word wrong - it should be stream but snaresbrook sounds right.
6 & 3 sound good
N0 7 - does White City have a dog track?
I have got Bank for another one - Deposit your savings

no 8 the only other station I can find that might be river related is Tooting Bec - beck being a small river up north. But I cant connect Tooting to Raffles

I am trying to find a connection for Raffle's - there is Stanford Brook - Watford and Woodford

8. raffles rivulet=famous raffles hotel relates to sir thomas stamford raffles and rivulet can also be a brook so the answer is stamford brook
2. There is a station East India, and Bharat is what Indian folks call India, but cant make East fit in with Bridge player.

Jane mark2 - there is a bridge player called Bharat but not sure what the connection is to an underground station

2)there are two pairs of partners in bridge referred to as East-West and the other ones as North-South. AS you say the hindi word

for INDIA is Bharat= East India
