That week went by at a fair rate of knots and the weekend is just around the corner. With it comes the two link games and the AB versions of Blanketty Blank. The MM version of the game is entirely homegrown. Exactly what happened last week is recorded at the posting below:

http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Quizzes-and-Puz zles/Question367285.html

Current leaders are evsajo & huggles with 6 points. They are joint favourites to take the title of "Hot Shot of the Month" and claim the right to set the link words throughout March. There are dozens of other entrants determined to stop them in their tracks.

Why don't you join us and pit your skills against the mighty ulysses, the evil wickedtongue, the dyslexic japanese warrior sarumite, the hopeless Dustybun and the eternal optimist, pauline(I'm gonna win!)ward.

Be there or be square!

The "sister competition" organised by seekeerz from the Land of Oz uses link words set in Herculis (DT). The idea is very much as with MM, as you will see from the posting below:

http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Quizzes-and-Puz zles/Question366367.html

KM Links are set about 7.30 am when we can get our act on the road. The site will be set any time now, but will start moving once the words can be worked out from the DT. We have no control over the choice of words.

We expect you all to enter both games and bring along a zany sense of humour.

Serious quizzers need not apply!
These sites carry a high risk of gigglitis!

As with previous weeks, you are invited to use the remainder of this posting as your SCRIBBLE PAD, so that the KM site is left clear for the business of tomorrow morning (kick-off at 7.30am approximately)
No promises, but I shall hope to see you all in the morning. So sharpen your pencils and set the clock.
Good night. Aq.
Crofter--I think you have been on the port too early! Wasn't it Evsajo and Sarumite in the lead last week?!
Looking forward to it - I'm feeling lucky this week!

Hi crofter and Aquagility, and good morning to both - I forgot to set my alarm clock and consequently my posting as a bit later than I like but hopefully everyone will see it

TYPO *** TYPO *** TYPO *** TYPO

huggles was "Hot Shot of the Week"

evsajo & sarumite are joint favourites to take the February Crown and become the Links setter. Apologies to both!

Truth to tell, I haven't had a drink YET! Last night I lost my Spreadsheets dating back to December 06 and I am still in a state of shock. I drafted the posting above on memory, which in my case is becoming more RANDOM than RAM ought to be!

Thanks to the ever-watchful rogerr (aka barbara: She who must be obeyed - for one more week!) [ loosely based on a classic novel written by an exhausted jockey!]
Hopefully will get on at some stage tomorrow all being well. Been a bit off colour this week, spent most of it sleeping! Mr Pauline has been hoping I get better as the weekend looms. Think he looks forward to it as much as us now. Of course the week's big sleep could have inspired me to take the glory tomorrow! Watch out....
I 'eard that - pardon!

Crofter - I do hope you meant hope-less and not hopeless. Well I think I do! I'm hurt now. :O(
I don't know, turn my back for one minute and crofter just knocks me off the perch I was only able to reach by skilfully introducing my oh sooo cunning plan last week!!

My daring aerial assault over those waiting in the shrubbery, followed by a high altitude parachute jump, put me in pole position at the front of the queue.

Thanks for putting in a word for me Barbara. Do you really believe crofter has not been on the hard stuff?? But hey .. you are forgiven crofter, let's face it we'd be lost without you!

Will I repeat the same high flying assault this week .. sorry the tactics have to remain <bi>hush hush !!</bi>
Cheers ;0)
Crofter--GG is in a bad way tonight--he is in so much pain-I will be there anyway in the morning--life's a B sometimes isn't it!!
Love
B
Please ignore my post--I should never have have said that--it was just me being a bit down and not anyone else's problem.
Let the "Games" go on!
Hope all is okay Barbara?...you just sound off as much as you like, you are amongst friends!

Barbara, obviously I don't know what the problem is .. but as Pauline has already said you are among friends, and if it helps to lighten the load by sharing your concerns, please do. Take care (S)
Thanks Pauline, but I don't want to spoil things for the others. This is about our "bit of a laugh" and I shouldn't have said anything.--sorry.
Barbara..after all the support I have had on here, I know how it helps...including from yourself.
Take your point though about wanting to keep these threads light hearted. You are doing an EXCELLENT job!!

Feel free to mail at [email protected] if and whenever you want to.

Come on folks!
We are here for the giggles and the banter--yes!!!
I had a mad moment there--let's forget it and get ready in the shrubbery in the morning for the first post!
All the best, and watch out for the flying Sarumite!!
B
Anyway....let's get the weekend off to a flying start, I will get to the shrubbery early tomorrow, and spread my germs over you all...leave you all coughing and wheezing, and then go for the kill!...and I will watch out for low flying dyslexic japanese warriors!
