KM = Kate Mepham [Daily Telegraph]

This is a fun exercise to see if you are able to predict the Link Words in the Herculis Crossword [in Saturday's DT[]

The four words to be linked SHOULD BE ENTERED below by the first ABer to complete the Saturday Crossword. They are also invited to record their four predictions as the first entry of many!

On Monday, when the Link Words are known, they can be entered on to the end of this posting by the first ABer to complete the Monday grid and the competition will come to a close.

The overall picture will materialise sooner [or later] depending on the planet and its angle with the axis of rotation - perhaps at a time when most are asleep!!!

These results will appear on an entirely fresh posting.

I will of course endeavour to aspire to crofter's impeccable level of tabulating the results and getting them published asap.

Good Luck everyone S

Steff re the AB emails. To stop them cluttering up your in box, why not mark them as junk mail as I do (apologies AB ED). That way you can still see them, if you wish, but it leaves your in box free.

I am sure this is an illegal entry...and I trust Mr Ward will NOT be allowed to have his own go...but he laughs at my poor attempts each week. He is just watching tv and has blurted out his guesses, and reckons I should post them on for him! Since it's only for fun...and he has NO CHANCE at all...just to shut him up!...

He guesses...

Question Author

No problem at all, Pauline - if your husband doesn't mind, I'll give him the title of MrPaulineward and he'll be included.

I remember Crofter telling Ont-ice that two entries from their household would be quite acceptable and I think that still stands - to me the more the merrier.
In fact I think Mrseekeerz is going to be angling for a shot at it before long, if only to know what keeps me running off to the computer at odd hours !!

I've just done a quick 'overview' of the suggestions put forward. amazingly varied but as of this moment picture this scenario -

Local GOVERNMENT would like to carry out a CLINICAL trial on CLIFF Richard with a dose of Scarlet FEVER !!

There are several other combinations possible but these are in the lead just now, but Monday will reveal all !!! S
Mrscrofter has just informed me that I am in full agreement with the dual entries from couples. However this rule canot be extended to childrn, grandchildren, uncles, aunts, pets, etc. Entries starting with "Fido reckons ..." are definitely "NO, no"!

I see that you've been attacked by the kettledrum virus :o)

Thanks for alerting me that the KM game exists, and apologies, Seekeerz, for misspelling your name over on the MM game. Incidentally, another way of dealing with the email from a single source, rather than throwing it in with the 100s of spams is to filter it off to its own dedicated folder. You should be able to tell your email account that everything from x (or even with y in the subject heading) should go into the AB folder.

I've made it!! Got lost on the M25 then had to take the short cut over Mont Blanc - that's when I realised I was reading the map upside down!
Thanks Steff for doing this - and Pauline for directing me here - and crofter for revealing my aspirations in relation to a damehood. Now, have I forgotten anything? No? OK :O)
Oh, I forgot! I'll try

Clinical approach
government blunders
cliff hanger (Michelmore has too many letters!!)

errrr, pray tell - what is the kettledrum virus - is it highly contagious and do we have the antidote ??

Ab. stoked to see I did manage to win over some extras from crofter - no hard feelings I hope, mate [just remember that didgeridoo !!!] before you answer

Just going to hop over and see how you're doing, btw - do we have any update on Mr Ont-ice, sorry to read he was poorly and trust he's recovering S
