what is the modern name of the ceribbean island on which the chief town, indeed the only significant settlement, shares its name with an18th-19th century british admiral who commanded a combined fleet which won the last significant naval battle fought between wooden ships?

Battle of Navarino 1827. The Admiral was Sir Edward Codrington. Codrington is the chief (only?) town on Barbuda.
