Couldn't believe my eyes when I read a comment stating Michael Mepham had died on Thursday. I only take the Telegraph at weekends so had missed any reference in the news. He will be so missed, idiosyncracies and occasional blunders and all. He's been like an old friend, regularly meeting on a Saturday. Feel quite devastated as must many other DT Xword fanatics.
