Not sure if this is the right place to post this but her goes.
Can any one remember the name of a very funny American journalist who wrote a column in the Guardian in the 60s and 70s. I think his first mane was John but I'm not even sure about that bit. It's driving me mad.

I think it is John Higgs you are looking for. I remeber seeing a book called I Have America or something like that and it contained a collection of his columns for the Guardian.
Yes, grizzly bear, you are right. It is John Higgs and the book is "I have America surrounded".

Thanks for those but that's not who I'm trying to remember. I'm going to have to search through old Guardian year books up in the attic.
