40 The Darling Buds of May
Question Author
Hi shaneystar2
Thank you for your suggestion but I think the Darling Buds of May were on tv in the early 90's not the late 60's
I think this may be a radio programme but I cannot find anything about it,not even in my copy of The Radio Companion
Q27 answer is 29 (can explain if required)
missing number is 29
starting with 260 , half it and subtract 2 =128
128 half it and subtract 2= 62
62 half it and subtract 2 = 29
the other numbers are just halved
Q27 .... there are two separate series of numbers alternately interlocked. The second set are simply halved i.e. 216, 108, 54, 27 whilst the first set are halved and thrn reduced by two i.e. 260, 128, 62, 29.
........sorry bridgenut, duplicated your explanation!

Oooh ..sorry about that .....It is the book by HE Bates but the radio series probably had another title.
