Most of these have been answered already, or have had clues given. Still
1. which is 26 in the puzzle think of the Bible for the rescue vessel.
2. (28) an anagram of alice and words will give you an author, Nick as in prison.
3. (32) Bill Oddie
4. (25) swimmer witl lots of arms
5. (37) mother is mum
6. 38) Think about cards
7. 40) 4 letter word for convenient followed by children's comic (don't know if still exists)
8. 45) 5 letter word for ban
9. 46) Fred Trueman
10. 48) think sewing and not the eye of it.

Could I have an extra clue for no 38 (6) in this list? I also have a blind spot regarding banning sailors... thank you to anyone who can help.
