Links to past answers include an identification number. Is there any way of picking up this number in case one might want to refer back?

Not sure if this helps but if you run your mouse over the question title in red - the full address of the question appears in the status bar and you can make a note of the number for your reference.

Hi Aquagility - Quickest method is to 'Bookmark' the page. At the top of your screen you should see various headings such as File, Edit, View, Go, BOOKMARKS, etc. So, as you are reading this message, just click on 'Bookmarks' then 'Bookmark this page'. You will then see the pop-up window 'Add Bookmark'. I suggest you DON'T click OK or you will save a horrible long string which looks like this:

http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Quizzes_and_Puz zles/Question276131.html#top

Simply overwite it, eg: AB276131WebLinks (or whatever you like), THEN click OK. You have now saved the page as a bookmark. Dead easy to delete when the list grows too long. Have a go, then let me know if you have aby problems (there are other methods also.)

If you want to JUMP directly to an answer given in a stale/old email you've been sent from AB then...
Note down or remember the question number then Click the link in your email.
In the new page from AB click on the RED link.
In the following page you're taken to, click on any of the Topics listed to the left.
Now click on any highlighted question already asked by an AB'er that appears in RED.
Now move your cursor to the address bar near the page top and delete just the number - replacing with your NOTED/MEMORISED NUMBER & finally click on Go (to the right of the address bar).
