Primark had some lovely ones last year ..those sort of velvety ones ..quite cheap too..may be worth a try.
Asda and Tesco Extra usually have cheap beach towels.

Chris
Matalan stock them too

When I could not find a reasonably priced big beach towel one year, I bought three small ones and just sewed them together.

That has been my favourite towel ever since, and it was dead cheap.

Roseby's & Dunelm too.
If you're really concerned about luggage weight, you could try looking in stores like Milletts or other camping suppliers. There are now very lightweight fibre towels available which are specifically for camping and lightweight travel which aren't very bulky but are still effective at drying.

Look on ebay under 'microtowel' - bargains without leaving your house!

Wouldn't go anywhere without mine. 4 of us,1 each
