An angstrom is a unit of length used to measure small things such as the wavelengths of light, atoms and molecules.
Ten billion angstroms equal 1 metre.
It is named for the 19th-century Swedish physicist Anders Jonas �ngstr�m. The symbol is �
Since a typical atom is about 1 angstroms across, we use atoms as units of measurement in this History of the Universe instead of angstroms. When we say something is so many atoms across, what we really mean is so many angstroms across.

I've got both answers thanks, Dkeyse and I'm sure gen2 isn't stumped in the least.


It's simply that I, not all that brainy, can�t puzzle out how far 2 angstr�m miles would be if 1metre = ten billion angstr�ms. Wou�d you care to help please?
